SANTA ANA, CA. – (Aug. 13, 2015) – Velocity Network’s All Girls Garage star and host of GearheadDiva.com, Rachel De Barros, will give free tire clinics at the Yokohama display during the upcoming Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic in Prattville, Alabama.

“Rachel has created a vast DIY car building community and an impressive automotive lifestyle network,” said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama director of marketing. “She’s knowledgeable, experienced and enthusiastic – the perfect person to have teach a tire clinic.”

De Barros, along with Bob Abram, Yokohama product planning manager, will do two clinics per day, Friday, August 28 to Sunday, August 30. The schedule for the 15-minute clinics is as follows: • Friday, August 28th: 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. • Saturday, August 29th: 2 pm & 4 p.m. • Sunday, August 30th: 2 pm & 3:30 p.m.

“People often forget to take care of the only part of their car that actually touches the road,” said De Barros. “Yokohama’s tire tips clinics are an excellent way for consumers to learn easy, do-it-yourself methods to get more from their tires, improve their ride and ultimately save money.”

Among the tips De Barros and Abram will provide are: how to determine if you need new tires, how to choose correct tires, and basic tire maintenance.

In addition to tire clinics, De Barros will encourage visitors to race in the Yokohama Tire Gran Turismo 6 “Drive to Win” contest. Each day the fastest time will be awarded a gift certificate for a set of Yokohama high performance, passenger or light truck tires, up to 19 inches. All other participants will be entered in a raffle for daily prizes.
